ARIA Mantras - for a new beginning
Healing mantras for body, mind and soul. A choice of 8 touching and sublime mantras, arranged musically in a unique way. Lex van Someren sings all mantras together with the wonderful singers Wivvica Matern and Katie Okwuazu. Sometimes Wivvica is more in the foreground and sometimes it is Katie. Both enrich these sacred chants with their special heartwarming vocal sound. A highlight of this album is the newly composed "Lokah Samasta".
Besides the wonderful vocals of Wivvica Matern and Katie Okwuazu and the superb arrangements of Frank Steiner, we have invited various top musicians from all over the world to enrich the mantras with their virtuoso accompaniment and solos on cello, violin, sitar, uillean pipes, flute, accordion and percussion. And so a unique album with a new and fresh sound and character has been created to honour this exciting variety of mantras.
